Recreation and Leisure
Life Outside the Classroom
Nova Scotia is blessed with a temperate climate. We have pleasant springs and falls, and a summer that brings an average high temperature of 22º C (73º F).
Winters are never too cold to enjoy great outdoor activity, and we get just enough snow to have fun. Average temperatures during the winter months of December to March range from a -5 to -1º C.

The Great Indoors
Sometimes, you may want to just relax and enjoy some leisure time. There are museums covering everything from our sea-going heritage to fine art and our natural world. And our major centres, especially Halifax, are home to superb shopping from designer labels to the latest electronics and collectible souvenirs of Nova Scotia. |
A Vibrant Culture
Nova Scotia has a proud history of music and performing arts. You'll find great performances on and off campus in theatres, concert halls, community centres, and local pubs. Nova Scotia's culture is a living, breathing, exciting one.
