Student Life at Cape Breton University
Located in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality on Cape Breton Island (recently ranked as the 2nd most beautiful tourist destination in the world), CBU has a vibrant and growing campus life with a variety of fitness, sports, and extra-curricular activities.

Sports
Our varsity and club teams compete with the top teams in Atlantic University sport and play to win. The CAPERS captured the 2005 National Men's Baseball Championship, the 2005 AUS Women's Soccer Championship, the 2005 Maritime Rugby Championship, and were 2nd and 3rd in Canada for Women's and Men's basketball. CBU features varsity athletics teams in soccer, basketball, and volleyball along with club teams in baseball and rugby. There are also a variety of intramural sports and fitness activities where all students can participate.

Social Life
A world of activities both on and off campus. Our campus sits in the heart of the Cape Breton Regional Municipality (CBRM), just outside the city of Sydney where there is a variety of social and cultural activities. A mix of communities rich in cultural heritage along with a mix of outdoor activities, make the Island one of the most spectacular places to live. If you are interested in outdoor activities, Cape Breton Island offers skiing, hiking, sailing, swimming, and camping. |
