 Fully integrated within the beautiful small town of Antigonish, StFX offers one of the most attractive residential settings on any campus in Canada. The current $75 million campus renewal project is enhancing and energizing an already active and spirited student community which encourages involvement in a wide range of athletics, social and academic clubs and societies.

Sports
Athletics at X. Something for everyone. Whether it's a varsity team, intramural sports, or a work out in the Keating Millennium Centre's fitness club, sports and recreational opportunities abound at StFX. There truly is something for everyone at X.
Incredible varsity teams, which regularly compete at the regional and national championship level, include football, soccer, basketball, ice hockey, cross-country skiing, rugby, and volleyball.
Intramural activities range from hockey and basketball to ultimate Frisbee and water polo. Compete with your house team or start a team of your own.
The gyms, racquet court, weight room, and ice rink are available for organized or casual use by students.

StFX is a caring environment where students are supported every step of the way. At some point during their university years, many students need assistance with academic, financial, health, or other personal matters. From Student Advisors, the Financial Aide Office, the Centre for Student Employment and our Excel Program to Academic Advisors, the Writing Centre, the StFX Campus Daycare and our Health Counseling Centre, at X you'll find help when you need.

Life after X. StFX graduates have unlimited opportunities for career endeavors as well as continued studies at the graduate, post-graduate and professional level. The spirit students share at StFX lives well past graduation. Our graduates can be identified as leaders in government, business, education, and entertainment fields both nationally and around the globe.
The StFX school ring, the X-Ring is one of the most easily identifiable rings in the world and will automatically identify you as a member of the Xaverian family - one of the most active and loyal alumni groups in the country. StFX Day (December 3rd, the Feast Day of the university's patron saint, St Francis Xavier) is the day the graduating class earns the right to wear their X-Ring. It is presented to each graduate individually in a ceremony many students regard as one of the highlights of their university career. |
